The post 3 Peaks Success! first appeared on BWP ARCHITECTS.]]> Over the weekend of 12th / 13th July partner Leigh Brooks successfully managed to “The 3 Peaks Challenge” to help fundraise for St Andrews School’s Project 2010 Charity.

The 3 Peaks Challenge is to climb the three highest points of the British Isles within 24 hours… including all the travelling time between them!

  • Ben Nevis was completed in 4 hrs 35 mins (that’s a climb of over 4,100ft)
  • Scafell Pike was completed in 3 hrs 19 mins (a climb of around 3,200ft)
  • Snowdon was completed in 3 hrs 29 mins (a climb of around 2,500ft)
  • Total time including driving 23 hrs 08 minutes!

A resounding success made even more sweeter by knowing that around 30% of people attempting the challenge drop out part way through and that of those that finish only around 30% actually manage to beat the 24 hr time!
