{"id":415,"date":"2010-08-19T13:52:42","date_gmt":"2010-08-19T13:52:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.brooksandware.com\/blog\/?p=415"},"modified":"2017-11-07T09:13:58","modified_gmt":"2017-11-07T09:13:58","slug":"new-london-housing-design-guide-issued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bwparchitects.com\/new-london-housing-design-guide-issued\/","title":{"rendered":"New London Housing Design Guide Issued"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The office of the Mayor of London has issued the latest interim <em>&#8216;London Housing Design Guide&#8217;<\/em> which includes minimum housing size standards, circulation space standards, cycle storage requirements, significant reductions in energy useage and CO2 emmissions, minimum floor to ceiling heights etc etc.<\/p>\n<p>The full document can be downloaded from our website servers here.<\/p>\n<p>The intention is that a final version of this document is issued next year along with the national <em>&#8216;Core Housing Design and Sustainability Standards&#8217;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are some very interesting ideas in this document, and there are things which are going to have a potentially dramatic change on the way some developers do business!
