{"id":7338,"date":"2019-05-23T14:49:51","date_gmt":"2019-05-23T14:49:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bwparchitects.com\/?p=7338"},"modified":"2019-05-23T14:49:51","modified_gmt":"2019-05-23T14:49:51","slug":"single-storey-rear-extensions-just-got-a-whole-lot-bigger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bwparchitects.com\/single-storey-rear-extensions-just-got-a-whole-lot-bigger\/","title":{"rendered":"Single storey rear extensions just got a whole lot bigger!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Government have just announced that the May 2019 date when \u201clarger extensions\u201d under Class A Permitted Development Rights have to be built by has been dropped and the change made permanent.<\/p>\n<p>This means that detached dwellings can have single storey rear extensions up to 8m deep and semis \/ terraces up to 6m deep&#8230;!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not quite that straightforward (whatever is?) and you should always take professional advice as there are lots of tricky little ways to trip up with PD Rights and it doesn\u2019t apply everywhere (e.g. Conservation Areas, National Parks, Listed Buildings etc.) and if you\u2019ve already had extensions carried out they may preclude.
